Whenever a gorge builds a structure, he will have increased share of the resource pool until he receives about 1/3 of the buildings cost in rebate. The number will remain fuzzy because it depends on testing and if we get a better resource system.
This will encourage building and permagorging as it’s the fattie’s reward for kill.

I could DEFINETELY see this for resource towers, but I don't think other buildings should give gorges rebates. They'd really just get to much res, I think.
Wow, Bone. I'm just shooting down all of your ideas today, eh? I think I could get that fourth one...

the alien socioty works like communism, everyone gets the same amount regardless of work done, the only execption of course is person gain by killing people, which is also like communism you kill people to better yourself
thats the way the aliens work.

Whoa, lets not make such generalized comments about communism just yet shall we. Ok, a rebate. So basically what your trying to do is boost the gorge's res income for a small duration to basically "reward" them for dropping structures. 1/3 isnt a lot, though it will make a difference depending on strategy.
10 -> 3.3
15 -> 5
40 -> 13.3
Basically it looks like its bonus resources gathered in addition to the standard 4 seconds. Except its not really bonus resources since its taking from everyone else. This is good and bad. Good players who can play higher lifeforms wouldnt want this to happen. Many fades and onos dont go until the structures are dropped anyways, and therefore this would slow down the rate of fades and onos. Now theoretically this wouldnt slow the timer for higher lifeforms appear by too much. Take a 8-10 player game. It would normally take about an entire round of resources (time dependent on the number of resources towers) to recover a gorge's bonus. It might make a difference. It definately will when it comes to competitive games where a perma gorge is supposed to gorge, and everyone has a set lifeform, but the perma gorge keeps building structures at a faster rate than normal due to the bonus system, sucking away res at a higher rate (because there are less players, plus the RT lerk, and hive gorge).
Well most of the crap I said above is debatable, the concept is certainly a possibility. However I dont think its the "perfect" solution to the permagorge. In fact, I dont think that a permagorge was intended ever, like a pseudo substitute to a commander.

I like it! Res flow is a permagorge's #1 concern, and this would really help improve that without giving reshogs a way to go onos faster.

yes and we all know communism has failed for the same reason the alien team usually fails - everyone gets lazy and greedy instead of being mutually productive.
other wise it would be a perfect world

I like this idea as aliens have a very hard time reclaiming res. I mean there couldnt be a worse fate, it costs you 25 res drop a tower and then your stuck as this fat useless creature with no res points, you cant even attack to get any res back.
yet marines can get res so easily.

Thats what skulks are for.

The sucking is only noticable when he builds a hive or sets up 3 chambers of hoaring. I also think that offense chambers should not be rewarded for because it could kill a rine or two and give $4k.

This will also encourage more players to go Gorge. Being a Gorge is a huge sacrafice (it almost "prevents" you from gestating to a higher offense race because you're using all your res to build stuff.)
Dropping buildings could act the same way as kills. For example, if a Gorge drops an OC, then he could randomly get +1, +2, or +3 res (as is what happens when he kills someone). The Gorge should only get the bonus-res when the building is fully constructed.

I don't want more permagorges. What do they plan on doing to stop the shotgun rush? Not much. I would much rather a player drop an rt or whatever, and then go back skulk for a while. Go get some rfk, keep an rt alive, whatever.
You really can't afford a lot of permagorges, and you definately can't afford them in the early game.
