A lot of people seem to be having problems installing NS. I for one am one of them, and there seems to be hardly any answers from the NS team.

I like others have the latest version of HL CS installed, yet when I try to install the mod it tells me i need the 'latest version 1.3'. Hmm you seem to have missed a couple of months.

Any advice NS team? or are u going to lock this topic aswell?

Its driving me insane now. Can anyone who has it installed zip up the NS folder and upload it?

I can't believe that there are so many things wrong with the install/set up of the mod. people are complaining about missing files/version problems/io errors/desktop icons not working etc.

I know I'm complaining about something I downloaded and can play for free, but surely you would like people to play the game you put so many hours into making?

No need to be snide.  We're trying to address people's problems as best we can, and a lot of bad attitude out there isn't helping.

Your last sentence isn't going to exactly win you any support.  The dev's and pt'ers haven't spent hours on this, they've spent years.  It's not like these bugs were intentional.  They are unfortunate, but they weren't expected.

Thats link is all well and good, but I haven't even installed NS yet, so how am I suppose to move the desktop icon?

or use the icon in the start menu?

 

You must have done something WRONG because I have retail CS and it is the latest version (1.5) and i installed and played ok (except for gamma and lag problems)

i have the same problem but with half-life version 1.1.1.0.... oh well..
