*twitches after last post*
Looks sweet, would be a good knife replacement while being a pistol at the same time.
Welcome to the forums mr ray!

some1 should make animations like when u switch from pistol to knife it has its own thing , vise verser
Obst

The marine's animations don't have any "weaponx--->weapony" animations unlike the aliens. In addition, you cannot call specific animations by cvars. Because of this you can't make animations especially for the process of changing from pistol to knife or such.
For the model:
You should check the smoothing around the revolver part.
The blade isn't so sharply v-formed as in your model (at least not the upper part, the other things might look odd because of the perspective).
The sight look wrong, I thought it wasn't so small.
Oh, and don't be afraid to trow in 1 or 2 more edges at the lower blade front to make it look rounder.
Welcome to NS

He also presented this model on the ESF boards, so I guess he wants to have it included there but wanted to increase the feedback by also posting it here, which is a good thing to do

i've always wondered that...you see squall shoot it at some point in the game, but it doesnt have a barrel...so how does that work?

In the game you could press attack again just as he hit to do more damage, I think that was the in game representation of it, the bullet(?) has no exit path so it just energized the blade or some hoo-ha.

no fox, you can do it normally...
When squall is about to hit his opponent, (in the playstation version) you press r1 or r2 just as he hits and you do more damage

It was also in the PC version, the default key was "e" and you pressed it as he attacked so he would "shoot" off the gun part as he attacked.

You need to time it so that you're hitting e the moment you're striking the creature. But basicly Squall and Seifer could do critical whenever they like, it wasn't particularly hard to do.
Anyway, yeah look at the reference a bit more for that model, and find a less atrociously bad mod to place such a model in

Tbh i dont know how the weapon works, its just does. Its one of those mystries that wont be solved, like how does megatron from transformers shrink to a gun? i would mind putting this into ns but aint a clue how tbh.
