alright your walking down the hall and you here a little niose , you didn't feel anything so it must have hit your friend RIGHT NEXT TO YOU, "ahhhh stay away from me you freak" I don't want to cacth what you have.

basically I'm just saying make parasite spreadable, a contamanated marine would be able to spread it to other marines.

why? cuz it'd make para more usefull

it'd make parasited marines unwanted , so they'd have to go run off on their own and die

and it'd make the aliens "infestation" more like there consuming the marines kinda thing, and I dunno.... every good alien movie needs some of that

this was actually around at one point. I don't recall if it was hardcoded or just a mod. didn't really catch on for all its usefullness

I'd much rather see the 'Parasite detected' and parasite hit sound removed, at the moment people who are parasited don't become much of a liability to the team, in some cases marines even use the parasite to distract aliens from another assault by wandering off to another hive... or trick an alien into an ambush.

If the marine is clever enough to turn a liability into an advantage for his team, i dont think we should penalize them for that.

But on the other hand, since parasited marines know they are parasited, it kind of makes it less useful, than, say, the all-seeing SoF.

Maybe make parasite use all of the skulks energy for a single shot, but if a marine is parasited, all marines in his line of sight show up as in scent of fear. So if a parasited marine moves with a group, his entire group appears. (This could still, theoretically, be used for clever tactics, like moving the one guy out of LoS from his team to convince nearby aliens that he is alone, but that would be cool too)

plus, para has to been layed over sof.

I mean, that the yellow circle is seen instead of the red sof.
Or make it so, that the yellow para circle is underbroken.
if you have sof and are a skulk, you never know if you hit them or not...

the thing is, even if you dont see or hear the parasite warning sounds the damage still shows up. and since spikes are gone no alien has an attack that's ranged and near-instant hit and no visible projectile. so if this change would happen, parasite would need to deal no damage. although that seems okay since parasite isn't used solely to kill marines, although i will admit that they can soften up a marine, but that is the price you pay to have an unnotticed parasite, and a good one at that.

im sure that marines won't pay attention at their health on the lower left hand of the screen, when they scan their surroundings optical for aliens...
