Recently I have come across this reccuring problem where an error message pops up and halflife shuts down. The error message reads:
Fatal Error
NET_SendPacket ERROR: NO ERROR
As if that wasn't bizarre enough, when I hit ctrl+alt+delete, I find that the hl.exe process is still running in the background. There is nothing in my taskbar whatsoever and I can't switch back to hl. I usually just end the hl.exe process and start up ns again through steam. I've attached a copy of the error message. I hope somebody can shed some light on this.

nope i'm on a wired router... although my isp has been known to disconnect me from time to time, but the game has always maintained itself and not collapse like it does when this occurs.

I used to get that error when I was on a 56k and someone disconnected me. So it's probably something to do with your connection.
