the hammer editor seem to not want to create me the bsp file although there were no errors and it even said in the log:

BSP generation successful, writing portal file

i have followed all the steps in the 'how to setup ur computer for mapping' and this this is my results.
i tryed working with Batch Compiler but when i try to load the specifation file, it always writes me some error so its no use.
i would appreciate help sad-fix.gif

Are you sure? What's the .bsp output folder? Try to compile it again.

And post the compile log anyway.

No. It will create a bsp with just HLCSG and HLBSP, however it will render everything.

My advice: Fix that texture error in your log, get Batch Compiler and use that.

i got the same problem, when i looked on my map folder where the compiled stuff went, i found a .map file instead of a BSP.

but when i looked at C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps, i found a files called myemail@isp.com.BSP. So i tried puttign that BSP in the map fodler, then i tried playing it, and it was the map io had compiled. i dotn know how that happens.

maybe its the 'E:\Steam\SteamApps\nor@hotmail.prt', i got that too.

well i hope that made sense. marine.gif

Get XP-Cagey's newest tools, they should fix this.
