I hav followed the guides and they havnt helped, steam can see the game but wint play it, the only options i get are Purchase and browse games, i have uninstalled and installed it numerous times, changing directories etc, plz help me!

I'm afraid it looks like you don't have Half-life installed. That is required to get NS, which is a mod of HL. :-(

I assume you bought CS:CZ.

the soloution to this is to buy HL (I think you can do it via steam now)

but on the NS website it says:

"Natural Selection is an action-strategy game for the PC. It is written for the Half-life game engine, and Half-life (or other Half-life retail product) is required to play."

Isn't CZ an "other half-life retail product???"

Many have tried, but no one has made it work w/o hl. Sorta like making gold out of lead. :-)

If you can get it to work, please post back on what you did.
