yeah, there were still a bunch of problems with portions of the skin being stretched when I stopped working on it. But there was really no reason to continue work since, like I said, It was a failed project.

Its nice, but it doesn't suit the Tsa Combatant theme, more of a tech guy in a hazard suit.

My ftp seems to have come back up.
http://caltrop.no-ip.com/~timberwolf/NS/soldier.mdlI unfortunately have to release this one "as is", Because I have neither the time nor the desire to work on it any longer.
There are numerous bugs with bone assignment, and some texture strecthing issues. If someone else feels like fixing them.. feel free.

hm... should be some kind of special operations marine, no? (refering to the name Geist meaning "Ghost" in German)
Looking good, although I hope C³ fixes those erros, soon.

/edit: and it needs a jetpack

hmm... not sure if i like this one. it seems a bit sort of chemical suity, not the kind of thing you want to be wearing for bughunts, none the less, the model's good, even if it doesn't suit my needs... good job i guess

It was never intended to be a direct combat type of player. more of an Indirect "What the hell just happened" kind of unit.
It was not a "chemical" suit, but rather a Cloaking Suit. Hence all the circuitry.

They look awesome, I especially like how you can see the eyes from behind the goggles
Good job

ah... now i getcha, still not keen on those knees tho, they're skinned on, maybe a modelled kneepad might have been better, but what do i know, i cant even model myself so i'm being hypocritical

Ideas we already know about (use search):
Flamethrower - we know you want one. Flayra is working on it.
Ways for marines to get health without commander
Hand grenades
Skulks climbing on webs
Aliens structures doing damage on contact/proximity (OCs and hives respectfully)
A big bomb (nuke, etc)
Night-Vision Goggles (or other alternate Marine view-modes)
Female player models
Turret limits, either by area or per tfac
Additional Commanders / Sergeants
Stealth Suits
Welding stuff to turn the lights / machinery / what have you on: This is already possible and depends on the mappers.
Lerk perching (sticking to ceilings).

If they ever make stealth suits, this will be my replacement model

This was meant to be the stealth guy. It was going to be another class, called the geist, just like theres commanders, jetpackers, HAs, and regular infrantry guys.
