Alright. My hard drive died. I cant even slave it and retrieve some of my files. that means that all the Red Faction models i did are lost. That also means that my half life 2 mod's models are gone as well.

Wow. Not only is that uncalled for, but false too. If, for example, the power goes off as you shut down, and the registry isn't fully written to disk (as happened to me), how is that user's fault? Are they stupid for not recognizing the fact that 10 seconds in the future the power would die and their registry corrupted? Since I'm fairly sure most of us don't have precognition, there's no way to predict various problems and prevent them.
Anyways funbags, that sucks crap. If the actual motor died or something you might still be able to get data off, but it'll cost a small fortune.

Well thats a loada **** make no mistake - you can't blame him for his hardrive melting it can happen. Lost mine when the transformer for our house got burnt to a crisp by lightning and it surged lol.

Wow.. thats a semi lie.. its not the users fault when the hdd craches cuz it has been spinning its lifetime by reaching about 6G's total.

Actually, you should contact someone with a bit MS-Dos knowlage, or if you can yourself, that way you can recover ANYTHING that's been deleted or corrupted.

hey i had to buy a new mobo and stick of ram recently, cause our house randomly lost power, and it fried my mobo. (the ram turned out to be ok so now i have 1gig)
i was in the kitchen and our power just dropped, i had no way of knowing it was gonna happen. it can be frustrating, and expessive.

yout rf pack looked cool my 1st harddrive burnt out it was a 40 meg scuzy and cost like $300

Thats a **** arguement.. its not like theres a warning before it crashes. and most people dont go buy new hdd incase the one they use should crash tomorrow, or maybe next week, or in a month or wait.. maybe it will take 2 years.

but he hasnt gotten all his files i only got one of his files to him and he is still looking for help from other people on the HD issue
