Looks good but.
Too clean IMO
Add some minor scratches that brings out the "tatical" in the mine.

It got lots of scratches already. You will see when I compiled the v_model ;D

.... unless the mines are reusable, where would they get scratches from?

Really cool model, very.. "military".

Im hardly obsessing over scratches. Im just stating my opinion.
And I think thats the first time I have mentioned Scratches ever, within my 2000+ posts.
Obviously, you sir are obsessing over the fact that people obsess over scratches.
And I am not the culprit of your harsh accusations

looks sweet nott... the only CC I can give you on the skin, is that instead of "scratches" it needs some "wear" on the edges, that always makes models look much more appealing, not the scratches so much... you know on the edges of something where the shape of the mine would catch on things you make it look more worn like the paint has been rubbed off etc.. looks great though gj

I wonder what everyones obsession with wear and tear on the firearms is. The only weapons that should really have wear and tear are the Pistol, Knife, and LMG, seeing as you start with those. Everything else is brand new when you get it. New mines, new HMGs, new shotguns, none of those should be damaged.

bad shipment?
*shrug* i like war-torn guns anyway

Yeah, I guess those nanites arent too good at shipping. Maybe they should use fedex? =D
(The weapons are made right there on the battlefield, sooo...there is no shipment.)

Yeah, the nanites make everything, even the buildings. Im guessing the only weapons that arent made there are what ships with the marine when he arrives.

then why do we have to build the structures as marines? let the nanites do it
Realmer
Jul 28 2004, 07:56 PM
according to six days in sanjii, or however its spelled, your more like giving permission for the nanites to build it for the commander. To give your permission you would just hold out your hand palm out.

How about if you don't like it "clean" add your own scratches

(off topic) wth is nanties?
StarStarGrizzly
Jul 28 2004, 08:44 PM
I would assume, nanites are nano machines. Micro scopic robots that do stuff.

well that would explain no use of a welder, or any other tools to build it

just though you might want something a little prettier to use so you can show it off...
edit = M89 tactical Mine... and not M89 Landmine

Can you make a Stacked version so that we can see when they are just packs or when they are just normal mines put onto the ground?

Diablus
Jul 28 2004, 10:11 PM
yea, i was just thinking that
Veets
Jul 28 2004, 10:20 PM
I'd have assumed it's thought that the nanites produce a basic lump product which has to be "installed" in to the area's current power grid or requires activation sequences, security protocol's etc. This could be done with the marine's bare hands or simple tools they may have in their field-kits (unlike a welder which is for more advanced damage repairs).
But yes, love the model and would love to see a way of differentiating placed-mines and those ready for pickup

5 mines? you mean 4. And to get the tsa logo use the...whats it called, the copy brush or something. Use it to erase that logo. Take a tsa logo and wham-o.
