While playing on a server one day, the map switched to a co_prime. I didnt have the map, and it was a short download, so I decided to wait. Im glad I did.
Im quite a Metroid fan myself, so when I saw the Metroids in the Ready Room and heard the old sk00l Super Metroid music, well I nearly wet myself.
And unlike most customs, this one actually looked good. The vent system is so crazy, it reminds me a lot of nancy. Maybe I just havent been downloading the right custom maps, but its rare I come across one that is such high quality.
Anywho, a friend of mine is a Metroid lunatic. Much more so than me. So I convinced him to install NS to play this map. He being nutty for Norfair, did so.
Long story short, my friend is now addicted to NS. And im glad I could have been the one to introduce him to it.
So my question to you guys/gals: I have quite a few other friends into various video games/anime. Are there any custom maps out there based on locales from anime or video games? Im trying to get my friends into NS so when we go to LANs, the game of choice is no longer CS, which I tolerate just so I can play with everybody. So if any of you could point a few in my direction, id be very grateful.
