Looking very nice! I especially like the marine start and the non-straight walls. =D

Wow that really is VERY nice. Great work.

I can't really say anything against it, apart from the fact that the lighting on the CC seems to not really come from anywhere ?

My only notes are that those railing in MS better be a clip+func_invis combination. If they're a func_wall pretending to do the job then skulks will have a field day with the fact that any strait fire marine weapons (i.e. all but grenade) have to be close to hit them. If you can pull it off well it might be a good idea to make the thing out of brush pieces then func_wall that. Would be more realistic at the least.

That said func_illusionary+clip should work.

Other than that, it looks good. I agree on the slantywalls, those are almost always cool. Keep up the good work.

The map looks good, while I dont know much about NS maps, remember that a preety design wont make the map good if it doesnt have good playability. Make the map cosy to all players, make it 50:50 to both sides (alien & Marine, giving it both strategic points and resources) and add some few thigs to make it good (Dont know, perhaps static models like Airships or something like that). Also, I suggest adding some small fog in some corridors, it might add a bit of atmosphere. Also remember to give the right lightning to the map. Where corridors should be a bit dark and large rooms more bright.

Bravo your map looks good, look forward to it

THATS at least decent mapping, solid mapping. work on like that and we will love you biggrin.gif

Nice work. I like the architechture, lightning is good(most of it, some areas could be better). You got a layout to show us?
Reebdoog
Yeh, all those are illus+clip so grens/etc can go through. Am still tweaking alot of lighting, especially the hallway there.
Layout, sort of, i might take a screenie of what's done so far, but i might not, we'll see smile.gif
BulletHead
woah... wow...

That's just purty right thair... that' just too purty...
Reebdoog
New lighting, updated all the pics, different pics as well. Post comments please.
Kabelen
The hallway is a bit better now.. But it could use some supports and something to break up the ceiling.. Other than that, there's nothing to complain about!

good looking map... besides the rine start those 2 pics are my favs so far. smile.gif
Lt_Gravity
overlay for ALL the lights? are you serious?
maybe you should use some more texture lights, shure, its doesnt look as god as overlays but at least they save up entity information.
and Im sorry but I missed thereally cool pictures, exelent work. the picture panaka quote ("seen alien3?") is one of the most impressive I have ever seen, THATS like ns should be. great style!

Hope thats a good thing.

Thanks for the kind words and help so far everyone.

And heck no, overlays for some of the lights, alot dont need them. Only the textures that aren't 100% light i used overlays for.
