Huzzeh!
Yeah, I found my Baelrog model and its lack of skin/animations again \o/. I thought Sparda would've done it, but that lazy bum just forgot about it.
So here I am, asking once again for a skin

The baelrog is a replacement model for the onos.

The model is already meshed (and I hope it's not too crappy

) and only asks for a skin.
Pretty pwease?

I'd give it a shot... Any concept/art this is specifically based on? preferably colouured artwork?
Tresth
Jul 25 2004, 04:16 PM
Nay, nothing at all.. no concepts.. It came out of my twisted mind

I don't have any preferences, do as you please! (as long as you dont give it flowers

)

I could try it, but im sure I wouldnt get far. A good idea would probable ask some of the artwork forums people. They would probly be better at skinning alien skin and stuff. Just a thought.

\\edit

Both versions very nice so far.

@FunkyFungus: Try to darken the whole body a bit. Add some more "scratches" on the armor... (darker/lighter parts)
@SkinnY: Also nice so far! Reminds me a bit of pinky demon from Doom

In your case I'd suggest to keep that "from hell" theme on the body
Tresth
Jul 27 2004, 11:17 AM
I really like it Skinny, keep on it.
On a side note, if anyone feels an urge to redo the mesh, do as you please. I know my mesh isn't the uberl88test ever but it has minimal stretching

Hey! I'm doing that. I'll have some progress shots tommorow.
I figured out the mesh... It's not that bad after you get used to it, just a little blurry for my preferences, so I can't put as much detail as I thought.

thanks for the comments all, and FunkyFungus just because im doing the skin, you might aswell do it, if nobody uses it, to bad.. but you got the practice anyway no matter if no one uses the skin or 10.000.000 people use it... for every skin one make one gets better.. and that's always a good reason to make a skin...

It just looks so...plain. And the eyes, the scars on both eyes is odd. I've looked at the mesh and I know its not ur fault, but I say just take the eye scar off. It just seems very plain and all one color. Try mixing it some different colors. TBH it looks like those orange cats, I forget the name. Its also pretty bright. Try mixing in some black. I cant tell if there already is black on it or if thats just the render.

Well then doing this skin should help you out becoming better! Whatever you do, make sure you keep working on it untill it gives you a good feeling.

As I have never skinned anything with muscles I decided to try to skin this to practice a little. I just whipped this up from my head so muscles aren't accurate or anything. Pretty crappy attempt, but if someone could give me some critics anyway so I could learn something from this.
Image2Image3Image4Ps. Skinmesh was pretty easy to work with so good job. Model itself is also awesome, let's hope it get's finished.
EDIT: fixed urls
EDIT2: Btw skin has no "texture" yet and the lines between bone and flesh aren't smoothed yet.
