i saw the halo pistol released and i was so impressed by it i wanted an AR, but the only ones were shite. And then noticed i had a HaloAR as an aug for cs in my downloads folder. so i wisked it off to chubz who converted it for me. And i put the omega symbol on the lcd screen =D

its got sounds and an xhair, chubs is doin up a halo weapons hud thingo, so wen hes done that, i release this pack

I don't understand why everyone trys to model the Halo AR rifle. To me the Halo AR rifle looks like a shoe box with tolberone box tied to it.

Anyways, yeah the screen looks odd. Here's more or less what it's supposed to look like (minus the blueish background, which I havent found in the skin files yet):

Edit: also, I'm not sure if a simple reskin would work, since the screen background, each digit, the compass and the little bullet icon are all separate objects (so that the ammo counter and moving compass can work).

just forget the screen, okay? it doesn't work in HL, so it just looks ridiculous with an ammo counter.

If you want the screen to be like that in Halo, you'll have to compromise. When you select the shoot animation, you'll have to change the screen to --

When most people have finished shooting, they reload. If they don't then just keep it on --, or put it back to 50, i'm not sure what to do about that bit.

I didn't like the original cs release because of the skin, too bad this one has the same

frosty moose, it can work with HL, they did it for FireArms mod, it does however require some new coding on the NS team's part... you can use texture group replacements, or as the FA team did for the G36E for the clear mag, you could use different body groups, even though that certainly adds more polies... but because of that ability some one made a Halo AR with a working ammo counter as a replacement, and it worked pretty well in my opinion... I'm done ranting now...

this is the real halo gun, they arent the same, far from it imo, but this one still looks good, think of is as a different version. as soon as someone converts the real haloar ill use it in a flash

Okay I finished skinning the AR, see here for the piccy. I still need to add a clip (since I can't find the one that should be there) and add the extra ammo counter numbers, but other than that its almost done.

oh noes.... download corrupt Downloaded it 5 times now but still the same... also I couldn't rebuild the archive

make the ammo display thingie say 30 bullets instead of 50

bleh... because the ZIP is corrupt and I wanted the halo ar... I just made my own LA version... notice the small changes on the skin ("ammo counter" D: )
