Full Version: Server Consistancy? Wth?
For some reason when i try and connect to a server it gives me ERROR: THIS SERVER IS FORCING CONSISTANCY FOR XX MODEL.

It happens to me occasionally with my hive.mdl. It used to happen to me all the time in CS. I think the reason is that the model is out of the hitbox or something like that. Try connecting to a different server, may work
mp_consistancy 1
or cal config...which includes mp_consistancy 1

Some servers check to make sure the models of the client are the same as on the server, and if they arnt they kick you. This is so noone can use models that make you stand out more (bright neon green and such).
I believe all cs servers have it default, but apparently ns servers have it default off. I hope that this isnt made default on when NS 3.0 goes steam, but I think its a possibility.

ive only seen this on um, clan tournaments and matches, where you must play with default models, duno why regular servers would put this on tho :/

i posted this before i had connected to one server, i thought they were all consistancied, in which i'da been screwed.

"problem" in NS is that not just the p_models are checked, but also the other ones like hive model, player models and even the gestation model

Well that smart. Lets all play in tournaments without it so that some players have invisible teeths and some players have hitbox only building that gives them advantage over other players.
