After many, many hours of playing, I now realize that the is the best counter to jetpack. Lerks have more speed ( especially with celerity ), don't run of energy nearly as often as jetpackers ( lerk don't need to land or to recharge their weapon ) and are more maneuverable. It's very easy to bite a jetpackers in mid air once or twice. If you get rushed by jetpackers, make sure you have a good or two to counter them easily.

Focus and celerity lerk pwns jp 2:3 at least, equal skill lets say.

most lerks in NS games dosent have cele at least where i play so a jp SG kills em pretty fast.

Or to combat jetpackers just get webs then any skulk can take a bit easily

Are you speaking of NS or CO? In CO I could agree, but in NS hell no. A JP in NS almost always come with a weapon that's not free, usually SG or HMG. The lerk has to get up close and personal meaning most of the time the SG or HMG will rape the lerk. Spores however could work if you have a comm that don't drop meds.... Also remember that celerity focus lerks are not going to appear in NS during a normal paced game.
