What scale are the textures in ns.wad and ns2.wad designed to be used at? Ignoring special cases (large surfaces etc) most of them appear to work alot better scaled down to 0.5.
I'm just after a clarification so I don't make to bigger mess of things!

u can use any size generall, i find there a bit big for a normal corridor, but for rooms with higher ceilings u can leave the scale to 1
I dont usually scale to 0.5 tho the lowest i think i have on my map is 0.72
but its up to u, try what u think load up the map and have a look
just try not to scale things up unless u really need to

And remember that scaling down usually increases r_speeds, since face cuts are made every (240*texture scale) units. On surfaces less then 120x120 units a texture scale of 0.5 won't matter, but on anything larger it can give a pretty dramatic wpoly increase.

AND too many scaled-down textures can lead to AllocBlock:Full, I never scale below 0.80 for regular walls, only on special textures do I perform such a dubious feat.
Try and keep things at their default size (1.0) and just align them how you want them.
