I'm currently working on the second version of a custom fgd with icons to use in the Hammer editor instead of the pink entity boxes. ( Link to topic in mapping forum )
And I wanted to replace the light_spot entity with a sprite and a model at the same time, so the sprite would show the lights color, and an arrow points into the direction of the angle of the light_spot.
The only thing is, that I never learned how to model for HL and well I think it might me too much to learn it simply for that reason. Dunno smile.gif

Anyway what really would help me would be, if someone could make a simple arrow in HL mdl format, to be used in the Hammer editor for that purpose. I thought about something like this

But you don't have to stick to that, as long as it is just a nice simple arrow, with the origin in the start and pointing to the right. The color of it should be something like red or so.
So if anyone wants to help me I would be quite happy about it smile.gif

wow that was a quick one. thanks alot smile.gif

But sadly I must admit that I won't be able to use it anymore, because of a bug in the Hammer editor. Everything works fine, untill it get's to facing up or down. When the entity is set to up, the model will face down and vice versa, which makes an arrow kinda obsolete when it faces in the wrong direction. And I don't see any way how to fix it except maybe updating the Hammer editor, which is out of my possibilities. sad.gif
I feel sorry that you made that arrow all for nothing now. I hope it wasn't too much work.
But maybe one day, there will be a use for that arrow, you never know biggrin.gif
