I have a problem, i just got the new cool geforce 6800, and im lookin to kick **** in ns...

Now the one thing is i got a monitor that only refreshes at 75 hz... so i went into nvidia stuff, and locked the 1024x768 for 8, 16, and 32 bit refresh rates at 75 hz.... saved and restarted (my comp is set for this normally...

There is a thing on my monitor that shows its current state, and for desktop, and ALL games but HL it now says 1024x768 @ 75 hz and xxx Khz...

When i go into ns... however, it automatically downgrades to 60 hz no matter what i do, and im leaving vsync on because the card can handle it, but then i end up with only 60 fps b/c the monitor only operates at 60 hz...


How do i keep the monitor at 75, and why does hl reset it to 60hz??

Firstly, make sure you have fps_max set to 75 as the default is 60 and it seems to me to be your problem. If this is not the case then I would suggest getting ReForce Refresh rate fix. This program will force all your refresh rates you your monitors maximum.
