Ok my Natural Selection says "Software Mode doesn't work for Steam". It says that whenever I join a game . Can someone help me out please? Thanks

Install the latest drivers for your video card, then open up NS. Goto options, and click on the "Video" tab. Expand the 'Renderer' box, and select anything BUT software (Preferably OpenGL, if that doesn't work, then use D3D).
Click apply, then okay, then try joining a server.

actually it would be best if you acutally posted what happened when you tried to use my fix.

ummm, in tihs case you want to change to OGL (or D3D if you have to) mode in HL (not via your GFX Card).

NS Specificaly dosn't suport Software mode anymore (well it never realy did ).
