I'm going to make this short but simple: How do I increase the refresh rate used in Steam NS to something higher then 60Hz even though my desktop refresh rate is 85Hz?

It affects a whole lot of games, and not just NS.

If you are using latest nvidia drivers you can override by:
Go to display properties > settings> advanced> click on vid card tab

There you will see refresh rate overrides. From there you can select which res and change the refresh rate.

depending on what card u use (i know nothing about ATI) there are refresh rate overrides for all sorts of resolutions. alternitively, the default fps_max is 60 so just crank that up to 100.

dont forget that some older monitors, such as mine, have lower refresh rates at higher resolutions.

Oh, jeez, almost forgot about this thread. I fixed my problem. I had to use refresh rate overrides.
