Could someone give a quick description of how to make your in-game messages also contain the location where you are?
for example like this:
TOmekki ( Marine Spawn - Cargo Transfer ) : blablablaa
Or, if this has been asked before, could someone link me to the according thread? I used search, but it seems finding the right keywords isn't as easy as one could think. or maybe i just suck.
thanks.

Its put in there automatically when you use teamsay. However, if you have a colon [:] in your name, it bugs it, and announces you location no matter if you use say or teamsay.

There are some server side plugins that convert "%h" and "%a" to your numerical health and ammo values when you use them in chat.
Ie, a key bound to
"Hey commander, I am dying with %h hit points over here!"
becomes
Hey commander, I am dying with 5 hit points over here!"
HTH.

Yeah, the game just doesnt put it on your own chat - it assumes you know where you are.

I had a similar experience commanding. I hate finding the hive when you login, it takes me ages. Then a player joined alliens and said "hi". Resulting in:
::someplayername::: (Power Silo): Hi
Bingo.

If you have a colon in your name, your name usually shows up as white instead of the color team you are on I believe.
