After reading the manual, you get an idea of what the different evolutions do.  So what ones are you going to pick assuming you have all three chambers?

Post your choices in order of what you expect to upgrade reguardless of Kharaa class.

Heres mine:
Defence Chamber-
1)Redemption
2)Regeneration
3)Carapace

Movement Chamber-
1)Silence
2)Adrenaline
3)Celerity

Sensory Chamber-
1)Cloaking
2)Advanced Hivesight
3)Scent of Fear
Warfare
Carapace, Silence or Cloaking.

Anything that boosts my defenses (not all physical defense).

Looks like you are turning your Kharaa's into ninjas. I like the xenocide ability, more than likely I'm a person that likes to be very mobile and hits when needed. So my list would come to:

Defence Chamber-
1)Carapace
2)Regeneration
3)Redemption

Movement Chamber-
1)Celerity
2)Adrenaline
3)Silence

Sensory Chamber-
1)Advanced Hivesight
2)Scent of Fear
3)Cloaking

Id think it would change depending what alien species I was, but if I was an Onos it would be either three levels of cloaking or redemption.

I havent played yet but I love the Fade and I plan to have cloaking, silence and adernaline. But then again choosing an upgrade for me would be total dependent on what kind of problem I am facing. Oh and I got a good question. Anyone know how many alien upgrades you can have at once??

Movement Chamber:
Adrenaline
Celerity
Silence

Sensory Chamber:
Cloaking
Scent of Fear
Advanced Hivesight

You can only have 1 upgrade from each type of chamber.  So you can have 3 upgrades that have 3 levels each. 9 total upgrades.

Same with me, I would change my list depending on what my opponents are doing.  But this list is what I'm most likely going to evolve.

In TFC, I do lots of damage but I die quite often.  So in NS I would like to change that bad habit of mine by saving myself.  So by cloaking and being silenced I am a really hidden target and with redemption, I will be a pain in the butt to kill.

We could list it this way.  You can either do somewhat of what I posted first or you can make a list for each level of Kharaa.

Skulk:
-Defence Chamber-
1)Carapace
2)Regeneration
3)Redemption

-Movement Chamber-
1)Celerity
2)Silence
3)Adrenaline

-Sensory Chamber-
1)Advanced Hivesight
2)Scent of Fear
3)Cloaking

Gorge:
-Defence Chamber-
1)Redemption
2)Regeneration
3)Carapace

-Movement Chamber-
1)Celerity
2)Adrenaline
3)Silence

-Sensory Chamber-
1)Cloaking
2)Scent of Fear
3)Advanced Hivesight

Lerk:
-Defence Chamber-
1)Redemption
2)Regeneration
3)Carapace

-Movement Chamber-
1)Silence
2)Adrenaline
3)Celerity

-Sensory Chamber-
1)Cloaking
2)Advanced Hivesight
3)Scent of Fear

Fade:
-Defence Chamber-
1)Carapace
2)Regeneration
3)Redemption

-Movement Chamber-
1)Adrenaline
2)Celerity
3)Silence

-Sensory Chamber-
1)Advanced Hivesight
2)Scent of Fear
3)Cloaking

Onos:
-Defence Chamber-
1)Carapace
2)Regeneration
3)Redemption

-Movement Chamber-
1)Silence
2)Celerity
3)Adrenaline

-Sensory Chamber-
1)Cloaking
2)Scent of Fear
3)Advanced Hivesight

You know, I'd try to do anything to make it more fun and frightening, so I'd probably go full cloaking and hide in elevators. Just hope I can use gurgling sounds ;)

By the way, shouldn't this be in the Kharaa strategy forum?
Moleculor
Yes. Yes it should. :p
humbaba
I prefer Redpemtion, Adrenaline, and Either Cloaking or Scent of fear.
Necro
hard 2 say till i've actually tried!

I put it in general because I did not really think this was a Kharaa strategy.  Its more of a prefrence and not a strategy. But whatever.... ???

Here's the stuff I'm using, I might change them around a bit from game to game:

Skulk: Carapace, Celerity, Cloaking

Gorge: Redemption, Celerity, Cloaking

Lerk, Fade and Onos: Carapace, Adrenaline, Cloaking
F_o_RStorm
Fades with Redemption, Adrenaline and Cloaking = teh pwn!

Also, every lerk should have adrenaline. Otherwise, they can't fly around while attacking for more than 10 seconds. Drain energy FAST. :D
Necro
skulk: silence, carapace,  cloaking
gorge: cloaking, regeneration, adrenaline
lerk: silence, redemption, scent of fear
fade: cloaking, carapace, celerity
onos: cloaking, carapace, adrenaline
Warfare
Oh yipeey... hope I wont play against Necro as an Onos ;)

Squad moves silently down the long hallways. When they reach the middle, they suddenly hear "kadunk, kadunk" behind them. Heavy footsteps going faster and faster.

I might go regenration on the skulk, seeing I can climb away and rest.

I'm a pretty avid 'species hopper' (i.e. I often change classes during one 'life') and thus am usually using Carapace, Celerity, and Cloaking or Advanced Hivesight as these combinations fit all classes pretty well.

Battousaix
Carapace, celerity and redemption, seem to me the best choice.........
Nemesis_Zero
Only that it's impossible. Carapace and Redemption are both defensive upgrades.

If I was an Onos, I'd choose Silence, Cloak and Redemption.

Imagine two marines walking together, then suddenly one stops and looks around.
"What is it?" says the second.
"Nothing," the other replies. They walk on.. Then the first turns around again,
"I keep thinking I see something behind us.." They walk on.. Then an Onos runs past, so quiet that it was as if he was flying, snapping up the second with its horns and then  turning to the first.

He turns and runs for a minute, then turns back to see an empty hall. He chuckles nervously, then the Onos seems to appear from nowhere right in front of him, rushing forwards and snapping him in half..

I've recently discovered that Celerity is a better upgrade than Adrenaline if you plan to be a Fade who specializes in using Swipe(like me).  Alien melee attacks don't use terribly much energy, so that's less of a concern than being able to close the distance between yourself and your target quickly.  This probably goes for every alien's melee attack, but the Fade really sticks out in my mind.  Otherwise, it's generally a pretty good idea to get Adrenaline in my opinion.
Cyanide
Redemption + Celerity + Adv. Hive Sight.

Perfect combonation for a fade focusing on swipe. (VERY DEADLY).
Nemesis_Zero
I really can't see what all of you have with Redemption.
Hello! There's a life before you get shot, guys! :D

If you read the frontlines thread in general, there is a humorous side note where i believe (storm) said somthing about watching marines walk into something in a hallway. A cloacked onos sitting right in the entrance way of a hallway, and the marines just bumped into and can't get by any further. Personally, if i bump into somthing in front of me as a marine, iam just going to wipe out my knife, like running or shooting would do any more damage right? At least we would both get a chuckle.
BitchSL4P
Personally, I like to play a skulk with carapace, celerity and cloaking :) That way I can hide, chomp, take some damage, then make good my escape :)

Windelkron
Adrenaline, Cloaking, and Redemption.

Oh man, having Blink is going to be AWESOME.

Edit: why would you say that Adv. Hivesight helps you with blink?
Nemesis_Zero
For one thing, you'll see what you've got to aim at...
Wurmspawn
i'm partial to varying my upgrade combinations to fit the playing style i am facing...
ambush attacks are great fun...having silence with a skulk is so rewarding.
but i think my favourite combo thus far is cloaking, redemption and adrenaline with an onos.  you can't beat waiting for a marine patrol and then appearing out of nowhere and either ripping them all to shreds or blink back to your hive if you're in danger.  it works well on full-on assaults too.
nothing spreads fear more than harassment from an onos that you just can't kill.
Battousaix
Now that i played ns, my choice is: Adrenaline, regeneration, adv. Hive sight
