There used to be a mentorship thing to help new players, right? How did this work, exactly? If it really did exist, why is it gone?
The Specialists mod has been growing in popularity which means lots of new players, so I was thinking that TS should get a mentorship program and... yea you get the point.
Edit: Woops, found it. Shouldnt it be in this forum as opposed to the general discussion?

TS? you mean NS

... TS is *Another mod*
There is some sort of stuff like that being put in place called the Guides who roam from server to server and help new players there, they also, AFAIK, will set up training sessions and stuff like that...
Feel free to drop by #NSguides on irc.gamesurge.net on IRC if you have any question

The guides program is still in the progress of being setup... the whole thing kind of came to a stand still over the last 2-3 weeks as Flayra been moving house and had no internet - it's coming... just wait

No no, I mean TS. The Specialists, yes. www.specialistsmod.net
People have been complaining about the "nubs" that are showing up in TS. I remembered NS as being a community freindly to new players so I came here to ask how you integrate these new players into the game.
I thought that was made clear in my original post, but perhaps not.

yeah sorry, I read it hastily this morning... it also helps I saw your post on the TS forums

...
yeah your Idea is good, but I think it will be harsh to put in TS since it is a really individual game. Peoples learn there own way (which is usually the M4 at start) and then try other stuff.
