have u looked at ur video card settings? maybe something is screwy over there...make sure its on OpenGL i think thats what its called....

No everything is alright there I think I made the mistake of choosing 32-bit color when I was installing NS...Anyway to reverse this?

I have a question. I've been hearing alot about NS combat and i've been trying to find out if there is beta testing or if it's limited to certain people because i really want to check it out. I've scoured the boards, well not really, but i looked pretty good and i can't find anything with any kind of download info.

Beta testing is available to all Vets and Constellation members. If you look on the first page you can see that you can now join constellation by registering a Clan with 10 members.

If you are not Constellation/Vet/In a clan, then you will have to wait. If you're interested, my clan is recruitig, but we are just casual players, not tourney lovers. Hard to explain, see the website for more details.

Just got bored on AmericasArmy and wen't back to CS on favourite server Olympos where the 12 greek gods pwns me ([12]clan). These guys also inspired me to the ASA concept, derived from the old north myth of the ASA-gods.

Got an head-up on this NS and I must say: Woohooo, awesome game/mod.

So far I've been pwned in any human players game - so I keep training with RcBots, you may find that on "[ASA]Asgard with Bots"

One day, maybe, I'll get the grip on the tactics, but there seem to be so many approaches.

Welcome all to natural selection, and the boards! Hope you all had many hours of fun (and frustration) playing the game!

yeah NS isnt that normal. brainless shoot-em-up. Theres really a learning curve to tackle so lets start with some brief basics.

You really want to start with as they are the easiest. Follow your comm's orders as much as possible, stick in pairs and of course get a MIC unless of course u can type really damn fast or else be turned into food.

As for kharaa (alien) side of things, it may be doubly hard as there are several upgrades which can be kinda confusing. Stumped? check the search function in these boards your bound to find answers fast. U pretty start of as a skulk or a level 1. One thing about skulks are, they move pretty damn fast and have a even more deadlier bite. Running straight to abuntch of marines is strictly no-no. You gotta play sneaky with this one!

Also check the TSA and Kharaa strategy forums in the navigational bar at the bottom right, they may help when your more familiar with the game.

Yesterday i also had the greatest game of my life

The marines had a foothold on cargo hive(cant remember map name) and people were trying desperately to get rid of the pg but kept dying so me as a skulk lept out of the vent near the pg and into a dark corner next to the hive, from there i went gorge and built the hive as endless swarms of aliens teleported in, i was crowned a hero in that game. if anyone remembers me from that server give me a shout

My handle is Domukaz, and I'd say that based on playing this for a few times (Never, unfortunately, a full round) that this game is sheer genius (Though the hive-mind doesn't seem like much of an advantage for the aliens when the marines have that mini-map), and that I plan to play this til I get good at all its fields (Good doesn't equal mastery).

I am from the U.S., and I found out about Natural Selection through Planet Half-Life. Can't wait til 3.0 is released, it sounds awesome.

Simple, teach them to play NS. Then you don't have to be owned by strangers anymore. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, though

Hey guys...whats up? I use to play in the beta 1.xx days...but then I quit. I remember the first day NS came out it became the 4th best HL mod in just hours, man that was nice. Im starting to become interested in NS again and I feel like playing again

I have had NS on my harddrive for quite a long time now but i haven´t bothered playing it. But now all that is going to change. I may suck at it but i still find it quite fun. Well designed and the people that play it seems to be quite a well behaved bunch. if you see somebody running of in the wrong direction on a server it´s most likely that it is me. Well that propably sums it up.

hey guys its a first time for me at the posts and im from california usa. But most importantly i herd about natural selction by myself and really enjoy this game.But for some reason I thinking theres not enough deph in it. Maybe more weapons need to be added for the marines..I was think the lines of the extreme, but its just a thought. With my bad grammar.typing skills in mind lol (if I have any) as far as weaponary goes flamethrower,plasama gun(2 pts), chain gun (2pts),auto shoty (2 pts) and finally a grenade laucher that loads on clips instead of the slots one by one (2pts), i dont know I just feel something is missing. It starts to get boaring after a while just using all the weps. I also though that double pistols should be in for lvl 2 power upgrades. Also for lvl2 power upgrades there should be faster reloads.Another thing, could there med-heavy armor thrown in? Aswell as a mini jet pack for (1 pt). Of course this will have to even score for aliens keep that in mind. I also thought of another funny idea to have like a mini mechwarrior suit and just mow alien **** down..But thats never going to happpen probably. But just some thoughts. Let me know if these ideas give you the trigger finger and might be the next big thing. Hi, I'm new to NS. Actually I downloaded V2.0 a few months ago on the recommendation of a friend, found out I was crap, and gave up playing. Then I went back to Counter-Strike and had a good play on Sven Coop 3.0. At the minute I'm downloading NS 3.0. Hope I'm better at it than I was at 2.0.
