Interests: Mapping (done it for nearly every game, including but not limited to: Duke Nukem 3D, Half-Life, CS, TFC, FA, DOD, FLF, UT, Strike Force, Air-Fight UT, all the TC's for Duke3D, Total Annihilation (all versions), and even more then that. This will also include Natural Selection.)

Occupation: I do networking for local companies (im only 16)

And well, thats all you'd need to know about me...plus a little more

Who am I...thats a great question, I guess the best answer is, I am Spud.  It's pretty much my real name,  everyone calls me Spud anyways.  I'm 16, and an Arizona hic.  I play tabletop RPGs for a living(not really, just a heavy habit) and love computers.  I'm not going to write a biography here, but let's say that I'm not just some n00b saying, "Ohhh wow, a new mod, aweshum! 8D."

I play many mods, and have played CS, TFC, HLDM, and others in the past.  I mostly play firearms these days, but am looking for another pasttime to fire away the days when I can't roleplay.  I also play Warcraft 3, Starcraft, BF1942, Icewind Dale 2, and have been known to sneak in some Neverwinter Nights on occasion.

I'm not much for forums, so you'll probably see me idling away in the IRC channel more often then posting like a mad rabid monkey here.  I'm pretty cynical on forums, I won't hide it, and very sarcastic.  If you see me making hateful aggressive angsty comments, it's probably a joke.  No more insta-bans, please .

I learned about NS while reading the Penny Arcade news, and they said the most anticipated mod that will be completed.  "Oh boy!" I said, "A decent mod that's actually going to be finished?!  You're kidding me!".  So here I am.

Hi everybody.

I discovered NS about a week ago.  I am impressed.  The screenshots look great(I can't believe this is the Half-Life engine) and the gameplay sounds fantastic.  Seems a little like actually being a marine in Starcraft.

I'm from New Orleans, now living in Mississippi doing periodic contract work on software.  I don't play online all that often and generally stick to things like Deus Ex and Shogun.  When I need and online fix I usually play CS or Infiltration, but this looks like it's gonna' blow both of 'em out of the water.

I'll definitely be sticking around.

As the topic suggest, I am new to the forums.  I am greatling looking forward to experiencing NS.

I am Qwerty-McDunkin and I live in Indianapolis.  Nuff said.  I have been silently following NS for a year waiting for it's release.  I guess I couldn't sit by and watch anymore so I joined the forums.
 

Seems to be a popular thing to do these days, all these silent guys are giving in and joining I think it's cause they want to be able to brag to their friends in a few years that they knew of NS before release 1 and have proof!

I first heard about ns from an article on www.gamespy.com and thought to check it out. After navigating the site for a bit, it seemed pretty nice so I decided to keep an eye on this mod. Since that day, I've been checking the natural-selection site everyday.

I'm from Bloomington-Normal, in the middle of the state.

Yeah, I like the Ender's Shadow series (revolving around Bean) better than the sequels to Ender's Game, though Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind were still good books.

Hey all, love the community, game concept, everything.  I figured, since I've been hanging around the community a while now, I should step up and introduce myself.

I've been playing HL mods for 3 years now, CS most recently.  I've gotten a large group of my friends addicted to the game, and dangerously interested in Natural Selection.

Name's James, but pretty much everyone who knows me online calls me Duplex.  (sad, ain't it?)  I'm from Maryland, run a few servers (which will hopefully be running NS servers soon).

Oh, and on a side note, when's the NS clan movement going to start up?

Hey Duplex, there are already about 5 clans for NS at the moment(*cough* EC rocks *cough).  There's even some stuff set up for a league or a ladder at Clan Fission, run by our very own Parse_Error.  Go check it out to see if any clans are recruiting, or maybe even set up your own clan.

I actually do have my own clan, Binary Genocide, which, thanks to you I've now registered with Clan Fission.  Now, I guess, I just have to patiently wait for the action to begin...

Hello, hello, hello. This is Da Sarge here and I am happy to say I decided to join the NS forums. I have been reading about NS for about 2 weeks now, and I am gettin gray hairs wating for the release of this game. I think this game has more than enough potential to blow CS and those other HL mods straight outa the water. Well then...let my posting begin!!!

I really hope the community stays as it is. I know several people are worried about llamas sinking NS but every game has its fair share and carrys on regardless, and i'd expect NS to be the same.

I have known about the mod for a little while, mainly from Narby's site and the map he is doing.

It looks very nice, and I look forward to playing it. I am a member of CoFR, which is a gaming group full of old people. http://www.cofr.net . I think this mod will be something we will like. We like to use teamwork in all the things we do, and this looks like it offers that.

Best of luck to the Mod group. Modders deserve a lot of respect. They sure keep my game expendatures down.
