Hey all. Im new here. Been passively watching your mod for a while now, but never got round to posting anything in the forums, but i will do now

I just recently (a couple of hours ago) discovered Natural Selection in a preview at PlanetHalf-life and thought I would check it out.... I have been very active in the HL MOD world and have played alot of them.... I was forced to remove HL and my MODs not to long ago due to hardrive problems and have not played it in a while... I'm gonna reinstall the entire game just for this one MOD. Other MODs I have played in: Day of Defeat, Frontline Force, Red Dawn, Wanted!, Gunman, Counterstrike, Sience and Industry and a lot of others.
I usually go by the names "FireWarrior" or "Changrey"


I Real Life, I'm a 17 year old kid who live in Denmark. My names is Martin and I'm a geeky as they come. I don't have a job or a girlfriend, I play PC constantly and at the age of 17 I have yet to go to any disco's.... I only have 2 hobbie's: Warhammer and PC-games....

Hey all, I found out about this mod about a week ago and just joined the forums today. It looks awesome. Took my bro a few minutes to wake me up from me fainting from the awesome screenies on planet half-life.  

Wow, the PHL Preview brought many to the fold. Yes, the fold. For those of you who don't know, NS is a religon.

Heard about NS from the official Half-Life forums. They had a link, and complimented on the mapping. I am a big TFC player, and also play the mod RocketCrowbar.


This mod looks awesome already... I read the stories from the front line topic, and i have to say, i am impressssed...(impersonating G-man) Almost like a good movie scene. Hey, what am i saying "almost" for!

Must say .. it doesnt look like it uses the hl engine , whihc is a plus , some of the mods kinda blur after a while .

Okay, another newbie showing up.

Well, as it says in my sig, I'm Technogeek, a staff writer at Player2Player.net...which is where I heard about this.

Appropriately enough, in a thread dedicated to what the next Counter-Strike would be.

Right now, this looks to me like a cross between Counterstrike and Aliens vs. Predator.

...not that I'm complaining.  This still looks quite cool to me, and I look forward to playing the finished version.

Ah, but neither Counterstrike nor AvP tried to integrate Real-Time Strategies into a FPS like this.  The only other game I've heard that tried, or is trying, anything similar is Team Fortress 2.  And I haven't heard a word of them recently.

Hopefully, the teamplay this mod encourages will far surpass anything Counterstrike or AvP could inspire, aside from, of course, certain very rare exceptions.

How did i find out aboot it? I haxed into the interweb at Mod Expo 2001 and found out that Aliens had broken in and siezed hold of the mod team... I heroically flew to San Francisco and saved them.. they told me about their mod.. Natural Selection.

I've been around for a few months now.. but me being me, I've never bothered to really say/do/look/read anything. So.....  yea. I'm an IRC monkey.. I've had IRC sessions last for 2+weeks.. maybe NS will help me break the record..

Heard about this from www.fragplus.net and can I say NS will 0wn by the look of it.

I'm John from wherever the Army decides to send me. Right now I'm in Texas, but in Dec I should be headed back to Germany (I was stationed there already from 99-01). I heard about NS on one of my more frequented stops on the net, Planet Half-Life. I most definitely want to d/l NS as soon as it is available cause it looks pretty sweet.
