Hello everyone, this mod looks like it has a great community. My name is Carl but most people call me Vec, I live in Portland Oregon and I play many HL mods and games whenever I have the time. I came here because I saw it on PHL a while back and I've been following your progress for a while now, the work that has been done so far looks professional in its quality. I just know you guys are going to go retail. I'm an artist and I considered applying for the team but currently I have to much school work in the way, but you will get to see some concept art when I get the time ^^

i'm Windelkron as you can tell from my name.  I heard about NS from Planet HalfLife... I clicked expecting some cheap mod but what I found... damn!  It's professional stuff.  I read the whole story (don't laugh ), it seemed really cool. I think, actually, the maps clinched it for me... I don't recall which ones they were but some of them made me think I was looking at a screenshot from Halo or AvP!  Only reinforcing my interest in the mod was Commander mode (Starcraft for HL?! WTF?! and the alien mode (pretty cool to be hanging off of walls and things.)

In fact, I could so hardly believe that it was HL I was looking at, I was wondering why PHL would put a non-HL project as a news item!  Then I found to my amazement it was HL.  GJ NS team!!!

Hi there. I'm still trying to grasp the fact that this is the HL engine at work. I don't think Sierra ever intended for this kind of thing to happen. Welcome to the mod though.

Hi, I'm new to the Natural Selection Community. I am from a tropical Hawaii and I heard about Natural Selection on Planet Half-life. I fell in love instantly once I saw those juicy screenshots and the excellent models. I became more hungry when I found out you could build bases and such. A RTS game and a FPS combined into one sounded too good to be true. I hope this mod will be completed soon.

My real name is Tim, and I'm a student at the University of Washington.
I heard about Natural Selection from a PC Gamer magazine, and I gotta admit it sounds like the coolest mod ever. It's right up my alley too, as far as plot goes. I enjoy FPS, Strategy, and Action games, and it looks like NS is gonna provide for these addictions quite well. : )
You guys may just have the Counterstrike killer on your hands here. The models are GORGEOUS, the gameplay seems tight and fun, and the whole team seems REALLY dedicated to creating something truly incredible. I look forward to hearing all your opinions in the future.

I am DEAD SET on becoming a playtester through whatever means are necessary, so this is not the last you'll be hearing from me by far. : )

Zen Master here, just joined today.  Im from IA and am a CS fanatic, if this mod is half as cool as it looks my LAN group is gonna go nuts.  And if you need a place for some serious testing let me know CaRNaGGe, thats the lan group, has 60 person lans every month or so.  We also have servers that we bring to the lan as well as several online.  So if you need to test how many players it can handel this would be a good place to do it.

I would like to welcome you all to the NS community and strongly suggest you join us all in mIRC!  The server is gamesnet.net and the channel is #naturalselection .  Hope to see you all there.
