I'm looking for a sub model for the map that I am currently working on. First some links.

Download (either mirror should work):
http://shdwstal.temporal-sands.com/nsaltairv6d.zip
http://www.cabewse.com/maps/nsaltairv6d.zip

Screen of the room where the sub will go:

I'm not sure exectly what I want but yall are the modelers so I thought yall could help me out. I want a small sub like the yellow subs you see everywhere (but it doesn't have to be yellow) and something that would fit with the ns atmosphere.

Of course I want something with a more NS feel and the sub does not have to be yellow.

mhm... what about the one from the "deep6" map from frontline force? (started as a custom map for CS)
KungFuDiscoMonkey
Yeah, something like that minisup would work.

Isn't there anybody out there that wants to do a sub model for a map instead of endless gun replacements?
Delarosa
how many poly should we aim for?

There's the mapping guidelines rules on EPoly. There is one resouce tower in the room so probally try to shoot for something around 1500 poly or so.

Being derogatory about the work of most the modellers in this forum. Way to convince them to help you!

Fair enough point and I appologize for that comment. It just seems from my perspective that there are so many gun replacement models that doing something like a minisub might be a nice diversion and something new and fresh. But I shouldn't have insulted y'alls work. I was just hoping to have gotten some kind of reply before now.

i'll work on one when i get time, the idea of a sub intrigues me, i'l shcedule it after i mesh this push knife.
Dorian_Gray
Hrm I might try it too... might be nice to try modelling something that isn't a pistol or LMG tounge.gif
ViPr
doods, don't get mad at the guy. i personally think it is a bit silly that you guys all make loads of gun models because basically people are not allowed to use them strictly speaking no matter how good they are. at least with this sub everyone is allowed to appreciate it. i wish NS would have proper support for custom gun models like in svencoop but it doesn't.

Just wondering if there's any update.

Sorry it's taken this long to get one done for ya KFDM. If this isn't what you had in mind, just let me know and I'll take another swing at it.

Need to open it in IE to work.

1,494 polys

I didn't know if you wanted the wing thing to be above or below the waterline, so here it is both ways

Above

Below

If you like it, I'll have to find someone to mesh and skin it.
