Burncycle finished the model, but it still needs a mesh, skin and animations.
(at least the 1st 2 things

)

it tops off at more or less 5000 poly with hands, but that seems perfectly acceptable. Someone hacked a G36 to 10000 polies and was able to get it to work in CS.

mhm... I've seen a 17000 poly SG552 replacement model... (just v_ of course) so... no big deal

mhm... so really no-one here can mesh/skin/animate it?

I'm trying to animate, but im uncomfortable with the fact that it has no skin. Plus i need an idea of exactly how big it was. I got an idle pose ready, just need a diagram of:
-Recoil effects after firing
-Reloading
-an idea for a fidget anim

my idea of the reload was, he transfers it from teh idle postion flips it upside down, inserting his left hand in the carrying handle like holding a briefcase upside down, then with his right he takes out the mag and inserts and new one and flips it back over and to his right hand on the handle/trigger
fidgit animation you could have him look at both sides of the gun like he is checking it out, then tap the grenade mag to make sure its secure

I could mesh it, but whether it will be done is a question of time, motivation and stuff. I'm really really bad at self motivation. I am also trying to build a lower poly model using burncycle's model as a reference.

1) No, nobody is meshing it.
2) People saying "I'll only do it if no one else will" is a good way for something to never get done

I hate when unwraps are triangulated. even more confusion. I think you should rethink your approaches to some of these pieces you've got unwrapped (that peice right around the barrel). looks like they could have a few pretty nasty seams.

i fixed the first unwrap cleaned it up alot but while working on the seconed one i found part of the model to be fubared realy bad its the little thing with the bolt going right through it its right behind the carry handle and infront of the back magazine im probably gonna need help mapping that or burncycle if its not too much trouble can you redo that part?
