Hello, first off, I'd like to kind of introduce myself. smile.gif

I just recently started playing Natural Selection, I've been a DoD player and have done a lot of skins over there in the past. Anyway...

I downloaded Dillinja's (nice name! wink.gif) SpecOpsv2 player models, and just decided to do some hi-res arm and hand skins to match those models in first person.

To use these you'll have to decompile the v_ models you want them on, replace the skins with the ones from the zip file, and recompile.

Hope you guys like it.

these will only work properly if you use the line

gl_maxsize 512 (512x512 textures)

in your console

There is no sushi's . Only ONE sushi , who freaking pwnz at animating and some other guy with FX at the end...

Anyway Dillinger could you make a version for NORMAL arms?

now ive gotta fix the animations on the spec ops rines so it actually looks ok ingame

***ive tryed swapping the textures around but when i do it messes up the weapons origins, someone help me plz***

You decompiled it wrong. Don't use the standed milkshape decompiler it **** up the origins. Decompile with krasitios(sp?).

i decompiled it with the ms3d trial, i thought that was a good program to use confused.gif

edit: btw does anyone have a problem with my avatar? It keeps changing on mine to a white square with writing in it but when i go to its url it fixes itself confused.gif

if you want to use the new arms, just import the textures on HL model viewer... thats what i do

but these textures arnt the same size so they wont go on if u get what i mean,

i finally found the decompiler that works but now all i need is a compiler that doesnt crash when i use it =/

the textures wont go on because its the wrong size so you have to decompile the model, and compile with them assigned as textures

For those who asked, here are the skins in the default 256x256 mesh, so you won't have to decompile or anything, just open up HLMV and replace the textures and save.

They won't look as good since they are 256x256 and not 512x512, but you asked, so... smile.gif

y dont u just use Photoshop to resize it? then import it with HLMV?

Because the difference in detail between 512x512 and 256x256 is very big. 512 meshes hold much more detail than 256 size meshes do.
