Is there a good way of getting something I can edit in Paint out of a minimap .spr file? I have some ideas for layout change to a certain map that I want to spark some discussion on, but I dunno if I can just do that with the file as is or anything. Of course, I'd normally just try it and see first, but this is the school compy, so I don't exactly have NS.

You will need Sprite Viewer to open *.spr files and save them as bmp. The minimaps are usually in your /half-life/nsp/sprites/minimaps/ folder.

Hmm. That works, but it doesn't have the hive/res/weld overlay things on it. Anyway I can get something a shade more useful? Maybe I should just take a screenshot... :/

Those are individual sprites that are assigned to the minimap when the map loads.
