Sikkema
Hi

we've been trying to get NS server back up after a sort periode of downtime (it ran perfect before) and now everytime someone connects we get the following msgs:

Knuppel<1><STEAM_X:X:XXXX><none>" entered the game

SZ_GetSpace: overflow on MessageBegin/End

FATAL ERROR (shutting down): MESSAGE_END called, but message buffer from .dll had overflowed

Server restart in 10 seconds
Server Quit

------------------------------

the metalist on the server is:
Currently loaded plugins:

description stat pend file vers src load unlod
[ 1] AMX RUN - amx_mm_i386.so v0.9.7 ini ANY ANY
[ 2] NS2AMX RUN - mm_ns2amx_i386.s v1.0.0.3 cmd ANY ANY

they both seem to run perfect.

The strange thing is that the server ran perfect before the downtime and after we brought it up...it didn't want to do anything.....we've tried clean install, different amx, metamods, glibs etc... but always the same error..... confused.gif

welp?

If you used my package then it should be ok, I recompiled all the plugins in it.

Make sure your motd.txt is under 192 characters, although I think it gives a different error if that is the problem.

After that I'd just try basic problem solving, remove all plugins, see if it works. If it does, add in metamod only, then amxmod only, then ns2amx module, then all the plugins. Or do the reverse, remove all amxmod plugins first, then remove ns2amx module... etc.

Well I deciced to go for the "begin at nothing and build up" approach .... but the motd.txt seemed to have a lot characters... After the motd.txt was fixed I all worked.....the greastest of trouble over such a small thing smile.gif Anyway it works now,
Tnx cheesy for the usefull pointers:)

(I'll admit my stupidety tounge.gif so if others encounter the error they now know how to solve is )

greetings

Sik.
