*tip*, remove the buttstock. It is entirely useless and looks out of place. While you may consider this a defining feature, i just see it as something that can and will get in the way if you attempted to fire this pistol. Once again, as with one of your previous concepts, to fully utilise the buttstock you would have to have your arm in such an uncomfortable position that it would be nothing but a (literal) pain to use.

I know you just want to add it to make your pistol look different, but i'm sorry, it's entirely out of place.

You must think... what will differentiate this from other pistols?

Most pistols look the same down the barrel anyway; for me, the only saving graces are interesting LAMs or neat-o vent holes. This concept has neither, I can imagine in game it'd look pretty much like a cylinder with some extra stuff thrown in around it, and then a pretty default LAM.

Not meant as a personal flame, in fact I was considering posting this as its own thread, but whatever.

I'm just trying to say modelers and concept artists will inevitably be frustrated by the inflexibility of the pistol design. There's much potential in the long-gun field; endless pistols simply get tiring unless it has something that truly sets it apart from the pack.

Here's a little illustration. No the gun size isn't entirely accurate, it's just a rough sketch, if you will.

1) In this image you can get a rough idea of how far the buttstock reaches in proportion to an average sized man with an outstretched arm.

2) This image shows the position of the right arm when holding the pistol with the buttstock flush against my shoulder (No i haven't held a real gun in ages. ). I can assure you this is entirely uncomfortable for a start. But it gets worse.

3) This image shows the uncomfortable arm position as illustrated in image 2 but with the added annoyance of having to tilt my neck to an awkward angle just to view down the non-existant iron sights.

So yeah. It's uncomfortable and wholly unrealistic.

And if you didn tknow, you can extend the stock, if you see that thing on the handle, yeah... Its not there because it looks good (which it doesnt.)

lookin good meph...though i agree that arguing about ingame guns being unrealistic is kinda stupid...i mean, just because a gun is poorly designed doesn't mean it can't work.

nice concept but the thingy at the back interferes with the ejection port. See, when the slide is back, the ejection port must be clear so that the case can be ejected so.. :o

not too bad. i would want a longer stock maybe. add some sights and it'll be wicked.

if you need a stock on your pistol, you'd be better of with a sub machinegun
anyway those kinda stocks kinda looks weird too me, MP7 or MP5 style slide out stocks are nicer looking

Now, add a bayonet, a vulcan minigun addon and a 100x scope with an even bigger bayonet since the original bayonet doesn't exceed the distance of the minigun.

you cant forget the rear firing grenade launcher, just in case someone comes up behind you. and let the trigger for that be reeeely close to the firing trigger.
