Me first.
Red dot = RT.
Yellow Dot = hive.
Blue = weldable.

MS in the middle of the map with 4 entrances?
I dont know about that. seems like a disadvantage to the marines.

I couldn't even look at that fore more than 7 seconds. It might be a little different if somebody else had claimed to create or participate in creating the greatest layout ever, but man you made the thread and I honestly wwon'tsugarcoat it and tell you that the layout is horrible. At least hold shift and make your lines straight.

Rather than being negative, you could try to improve on what he's given you -- I believe the intent was to collaborate.

I'm not going to talk about the quality of the picture, but I am having some problems with the MS.
I mean it's like swiss cheese with all those hallways from every direction trough which the aliens can annoy/rush kill the marines. going to be a very hectic MS with the marines in total panic shooting at everything that moves (large games only

, could be fun though)

/me thinks that maps need to find a new name for hives.
I guess that's a layout issue as much as anything else. We've seen too many hives that are computer labs or power cores.. lets try something new shall we?
The peoples are right though. Lots of corridors and not enough actual rooms. The marine spawn would be more difficult to defend than I would imagine is necessary... You really only want 2 entrances to the marine spawn...
"Store Hive"...now is that a shop store or is that a place where we put hives?

I just made this poorly designed map, realy i was pretty sure someone could do it better. Please stop the whining and such, if you can do it better then do it :=)
in reply to the replys, what's wrong with 4 marine start entrances? has it never been tried before? how can that be bad? Please tell why it is bad and how it could be made, KTHX !

4 Marine Start Entrances means the aliens can attack from four different positions, it is generally a bad idea as the marines would need to defend four entrances/exits. It's usually just too open.

how about the comm can open/close 2 of them at a time?
I mean be comm clicks place alerts starts (so you can't trap onoses u get what i mean) and the 2 doors (A and C) slowly closes while two other doors (B and D) opens?

Can the commander still use buttons?
Diablo_fx

in the way of using like pressing on an elevator or the rotating door on bast. just add a place in the map near MS with a triger on it and of course a light source so you could find it

Oh well it's a good feature, but I thought it was disabled again...
like the parasite activating buttons is disabled once again

This map is fairly small and is my first one to think of designing, but its relatively spread out.

You should take care at about two things.
Don't separate a big room with walls. Connect rooms with hallways and corridors is the secret.
And the Marines should control 3 nodes (via siege) at a time.

I told you it was n00bish. Pay no heed to my level design, it was just an example.
