I have been hard at for the last 4 or 5 days getting this site off the ground. So i am proud to present you with

Finally! The Hive Sight has gone live! As we add more and more files to our database, be sure to stop by the forums and tell me what you think! If you have any requests, please post and i will do my best to fullfill them. Please register as Downloads and Forums are not availible to the anonymous user, so that i can see how ppl are using the site. Welcome, enjoy your stay, feel free to look around and if you find any bugs please report them! We have some newer files, a server list of all of GamerzGroundz great severs, a list of Photoshop tutorials in the FAQ section, and a list of all the helpers who have help THS in the About section. Also, THS now has a working uplaoder so you can upload to the site directly! All IPs are logged so no viruses please. File sizes are unlimited! Go crazy on anything you need, and support the community! Dont forget to check out our partner sites to see who else has helped THS get off the ground! |

The custom map feedbacks are a definate plus, it is nice for people who want to host custom maps. 5,5 thumbs up.

theme = color theme...a plugin for xoops...xoops being the file SQL script manager. oh and jimmeh, you call me a copy cat im the opnme that pointed you towards Xoops

Took me a while to wonder why the links on the top bar weren't working. Whatever you're using for that site, it doesn't work well with Firefox (See picture attachment).
On the whole, the site is quite solid, but the graphics and colours just seem like a mess. The blue looks out of place when put with the overall grayscale theme of the site, as does the apalling colour and font of the logo image.
The leading blue capitals on each news post looks extremely out of place, maybe a different shade of gray, or simply a larger / bold font would be better suited than the pale blue that's currently used.
And finally, well, i hate these obvious looking pre-built sites. PHPNuke and it's ilk. They all look the same, have the same useless features and are usually far FAR too complex for a site of this size / purpose. Take a look at T2K or NSA, neither of them have any of this registration crap and are relatively easy to get straight in and grab the model you want. The way this site is configured, it's more of a hassle than either of them, that's not exactly the best idea to put across, considering you're trying to gain traffic.

i agree with esuna the logo doesn't have anything to do with the name other then the hive, and it doesn't match the colors of your layout, it looks more TSA then alien, and also I HATE having to register to get models, if you want more people then advertise, don't try to get more people by making them register to get models.
the whole thing with the logo..that took bout 5 min, just never got around to making a good one :o like mentioned before ( i think) ive only been owrking on this for 5 days now. the themes...well as we speak im working on a nifty feature where you can choose your theme...the current TSA one an alien themed one. plus, look at the fourms... all the symbols are the sprites for hive sight
im noiw taking off the must to register duen to request...the opening day was a great success IMO, with over 30 already registered users. so the need to register to d/l is off...you can browse the forums but not post. anything else? someone mentioned useless features, what features do you find useless? i tried to put anything significent on there, and get everything sorted out. thx for all your comments, things will soon be better when i fixed my uploader, get the second theme up, and get better logos...

Hey I am a member! Yay! anyway Nice site but try to use Better colors they hurt my eyes... 
Make the font color like red or something that stands out decently not Light Grey on Dark Grey...
