When I compile hlbsp.exe crashes and I press the button to not send report to micosoft and it just resumes as if it was never there (no .err file or anything in the logs.) but When I try to run the outputed bsp it jsut crashes ns.

Intresting bug Iv never had and would like a sugestion or two in fixing it.

Reinstall the compiler.
Naigel
Are you compiling with Hammer itself?
Hibame
No im using Batch Compiler and I compile about 6 other maps on a reqular basis that work good
Naigel
No errors in the compile log?
Thaldarin
I suggest Contacting Ryan Gregg A.k.A Nemsis, the creator of the tools. E-Mail him system specifications, recent crashes, recently installed hardware and software and virus scan.

Also try a different version of ZHLT.

Also Nexus, that comment wouldn't help anyone, it could be the edition of ZHLT not the compiler.

I think Nem just wrote the batch compiler, right? Not the actual compile tools? If the problem is with BC, you should be able to spot something amiss by inspecting the 'compile.bat' file in the BC folder - this is the file BC writes and then executes, so it BC is doing something wrong, that's where you'll find out. But it sounds like it's a fluke in the compile tools, which are Cagey's domain.
