The colour scheme I use for that Yaztoch is Unique, you have saved my Yaztoch image on your Computer, opened it, and modified, therefore it still has parts that look identical to mine, and the exact same colours...
now i c mmmm is it really stolen shade??

I ahve made concept with white background, so have other people.
I have made concepts with blue backgrounds, so have other people both before and after me but we dont accuse each other for stealing the colors.
You dont have copyywright on any of the colors and there isnt any of your parts on the concept so pleas drop it.
If you know he was inspired by you then be proud that you have some influence instead of start whining about some colors.
Before you start flameing me. think about it... no really, think about it for just a sec.

Here's a length-check of the both concepts.
When you're a concept artist, you can recognize your own weaponry and its details easily.
The lengths are identical, and as you can see they look... VERY much the same, know why? Because they are the same..

Damn yeah, i wish i was good at something... other than design, web design, playing 6+ musical instruments, sound production, lighting operation, singing, DJ'ing, sculpture, traditional art, photo manipulation and other things.... Man, i wish i could draw crappy MS Paint concepts.... You've got me, i'm jealous. I should throw in this degree i'm doing in graphic design to persue my love for MS Paint concepts.

Heh, well if I were to make a list of things I can do you whouldnt have the patience to read it, so no point of showing off, eh?
And, using MS-Paint is perfection, means you have to do everything yourself, you cant smooth it with a button, you gotta do it yourself, you cant shade it with a button, you gotta do it yourself, etc. etc.

Can I just say now that I've made a red pistol concept before so no-one can use red in a concept for any weapon ever again. In fact, as I made a rifle concept, no more concepts that look like rifles either. Or pistols for that matter.

last reply just for you mintman, I configurated the colour scheme to be unique, none had ever used it before, etc. He uses the EXACT same colourscheme at the EXACT same place, the thing is that, if you save his image to your drive, and mine, you're gonna notice that it isnt possible to use any other colours (well you can, but its a gif image, therefore alot of colours are removed.)

Funny that when you say you're off to "live your life" and criticise others for not doing so, you're still reading the thread.
Your argument seems to be flawed in serveral places. First being the fact i'm a "little kid", i can virtually guarentee i'm about 7 years senior, and why would i want to suck up to the NS Customisation forum, anyone else who knows me knows i rarely come here and i'm a mapping / off-topic forum goer.
And the thing you're talking about is "peer pressure". I think you may notice i wasn't "pressured" into posting from my "peers", considering i know very few regs in this part of the forums. So i guess i'm just doing it to look cool, right? Yeah, sure. It takes a person with a "real life" to think being popular on a forum is being "cool". Go out, get some real friends.
You've proven absolutely nothing with your "measurement analysis", which was the point i was trying to convey by using Orko (From the original He-Man, although i guess you're too young to remember that) as a unit of measurement.
Anyway, i notice by the time i've finished typing this post, you're still viewing the thread.... what happened to that "real life" you were going to "live"?

mephmage: in the future, please route all concerns about art theft through a moderator. Don't simply attack other posters. Bring it to our attention, and we'll look into it.
I've looked at the two drawings carefully. My opinion:
1) Shadepower started with mephmage's concept.
2) The stocks of both weapons have very similar elements, including a significant number of identical ones.
3) Shadepower drew over the rest of the gun, deleting mephmage's concept from his final piece (you can actually see many points where such deletions occurred, as Shadepower occasionally accidentally erased his own lines as well). That final piece, however, is vastly different from mephmage's. With the exception of the stock, which is ~50% different, the two concepts have nothing in common beyond their shared color schemes.
mephmage, I can see why you might be upset, but this is not concept theft. Shadepower, I'd suggest you work on a new, original stock for your model. Beyond that minor issue (and frankly, SP's alterations to the stock are pretty substantial), there's nothing worth arguing about here.
The rest of you: mephmage was *correct* if overzealous in his defense. Don't be so quick to jump on others. In fact, don't jump on others at all. If you have a problem, report the post.
