The front bit is the bullet holder, make it longer if need be.
The bit near the back is a holder, so a string can go through there so the Marine won't lose his gun.
Modify it if need be.

btw Nathanael (UK) use the straight line tool in paint or wot ever graphic prog u got to make it clearer so ppl can get a better idea of the shape then add random detail looking through real gun references should help.
