I have recently written an amx plugin that allows for a seamless MvM or AvA game. However I need map makers! I have currently 1 crappy map for this.
05.chem-x.net is the server it's on atm. "cx_vote_map co_human" in console will come up with a vote for that map.
Again I need map makers, if your interested plz feel free to pm me. I'll give you the info needed to make these such maps.

i say that all of the mappers should unite and make the best map the NS team has ever seen! we'll kick eclipse's butt and shove mineshaft down its throat! hell we'll beat all of the other maps too

Edit: Oh, and regarding MvM maps, I have an idea for one that I'd like to put a team together for, because I never manage to create an entire map because I tend to move on to other ideas.
Anyway, I'm thinking a large city block, with some rooms in the buildings accessable. If possible, also have vehicles like in the CS map Jeepathon2k.
And, even a backstory. This part of the city is controlled by two rival gangs. Large conflicts broke out and the bystanders all left when both gangs managed to steal TSA equipment and weaponry, and took to the streets. So it wouldn't be TSA Marines vs. TSA Marines, it would be people who just have TSA stuff.

Well, city blocks are hard to do because you can oly see 1 layer of each building, wether that is the roof or just some floor inside. Secondly you cannot add vehicals because they are FOR CS ONLY! No other mod has that entity that I know of, thats why you ONLY see vehicals in cs maps.

MvM right now with the proper plugins works great...
And as for all this talk about making MvM, im going to say this; It will benear impossible to make a fairly unbalanced gamed of MvM the teams are axactly the same, and runds never, EVER end. I'd try to make a map timer, for those just thinking of team DM, one major problem of silly is it lasts forEVER. So watch out for that if you try it.

i got aa 90% working ava map only 1 poblem is that team 2 cant use there upgrades

That's why MvM should be checkpoint-control style like DoD. Have various rooms that need to be held for a specific length of time. backstory is that the marines use these areas to increase their influence over the nanite network. Maybe check and see if the team X specification on trigger entities works with MvM. If it does you could at least do a "holding these rooms starts to damage the CC" thing.

that can be done, fairly simple (trigger_presence) mind you trigger_hurts will only fire once on a cc, so unless its like set too 1000 dmg, it wont actually kill the cc, it will just damage it a little and then never again, even at round restart.
or you could set it for that one room is ht e place to be held, andi you hodl it for say 10 min or something the cc gets killed by the trigger hurt, then game ends new map, but I think that would be the only way unless you could just spawn a whole bunch of turrets and a tf around the enemy CC, that MIGHT work but I'd highly doubt it, you'd need a plugin if not...

Again unlike any of the other plugins I have no bugs, Although I may change some of the dmg ratios with the plugin as well as L2 weapons just tear apart marines.
But at this point I'm not worried about it. Although I do need maps. How maps are done for other MvM plugins I dunno but how maps are done in mine are simple.
You have a CC and armories for each team and...

trigger_hurt can be toggleable using trigger_relay and a multimanager.

Why do you even need trigger hurt? The way my maps are made do not require an alien team. You simply do what I said and run this plugin along side it and it all works!

I think after a few games of AvA people are going to realise this,
Make the hive have a lot more hp than normal, with leaping skulks, flying lerks, blinking fades, and charging oni, you can get to the hive quite fast as an alien, and still avoid other enemy aliens, as well as do massive damage to the hive
ex. 70 damage a bite for skulk, and it's fast and has leap, and bites fast, not easy to kill, same with lerk and fade.

I suppose if we really had to we could add a second marine color like maybe red for something it just would either require a server side download or a patch to download. Server side download isnt too much of an issue now since we set up http download method on my servers so you can download files such as models at 400kb a second. But if this picks up I'll toss up dedicated AvA and MvM servers.

Currently I have a cvar, cx_mvmrender, which will be renamed to cx_render. This will support AvA and MvM. If cx_render is set to 1 it will make the teams glow. If it's set to 2 it will change the models. ATM I don't have model support.

Upgrades work for both MvM and AvA. There is no bug where team 2 cannot weld thier own CC in MvM and where they would dmg thier own CC. Making Maps for this is ez.
Current bugs for AvA are:
First Alien to join team 1 will spawn in RR
Other aliens on team 1 will have to wait in line to spawn
Aliens on Team 1 cannot use thier hive abilities.
I'm currently trying to fix these but it may turn out to be a NS bug and not me.

Ganja, I hate to say it but plugins that fix MvM have been released over a week ago both for AMX and Metamod. Plus, AvA mode has been gotten down to that a maybe even before those MvM plugins were released.
Now for something productive:
Find a way to spawn hives and spawn one for team 1.

First off those plugins are IMHO crap. they use alot more resources then mine and they have bugs which require other plugins to be ran as well. Such as the team 2 not being able to weld thier own chair and dmging it without ff.
Again team 1 spawns a hive but like listed the first player spawns in RR (this may be due to the hive's rang and the position of RR). Also the whole first team has to spawn in one by one. And they are not allowed to use hive abilities... Again this may be just map bugs I'm not sure I'll be playing with it later.

Yeah um those plugins already released took almost no rescources and were only 1 plugin so um yeah you are wayyyyy behind. That AvA map even if buggy can you tell us where to dl cause thats the only thing most of us are waiting for, AvA. If you can get AvA perfect then thats the thing you'll have claiming rights to. Oh and to Zolop MvMvM is not possible the way it stands right now.

Looking at the plugins compared to mine... There is a lil less resources used. But the mappers are required to do alot more. Where with my plugin the mappers set the map up like they would a normal CO or normal NS (MvM only) are they can play like that without the need of a 3rd team to kill later on in the game.
Also as far as a working AvA I have it all set but I need to figure out how to unlock the abilities of team 1....

MVM play is completely possible in stock NS, no plugins required. So what you're describing is an MVM map without any plugins. Some plugins were released soon after MVM was worked on which forced team glowing, and then a day or two later, two plugins were released which both fix the CC weld/dmg bug... To my knowledge those are the only two still available (until you release yours). There is also a fun mode MVM plugin available (capture the gorge), however, that doesn't count since it changes gameplay, not fixes it.
I'd like to see how you did it using less resources than the ones currently available, since they do it as efficiently as I could possibly imagine. (Move the team 3 CC off map, replace with a team 2 CC, trigger 10k damage on team 3 when the team 2 cc is destroyed.)

Again that way of doing the MvM is dependant on the mappers and not the plugin. This allows people to make a map normally. just changing the type of team 2.
Currently besides changing dmgs MvM works fine. AvA is another story though I finally got it down to the 2 bugs, 1 where ya can see other teams classes and the other where team 2 does not recieve thier abilities.

Dependant on the mappers? What are you talking about? To make MvM mode work a mapper must and has always had to do this:
-Team 1 CC, Team 1 starts.
-Team 3 CC, Team 2 starts.
-Info_gameinfo made so that both teams are marines.
*For weld fix: Loaded the plugin that moved the Team 3 CC away and spawned a Team 2 CC in its place.
If you are trying to say that your plugin takes a non mvm map, replaces the hive with a team 2 cc etc then maybe you should have said that, and I'll give you credit for that. I would still like to see "mapper dependant" clarified though. If your plugin takes the above circumstances and fixes it then there is nothing new to see here.

no my plugin doesn't but not a bad idea... hmm wounder if I can change the type of team team 2 is... o.O interesting idea would make mapping even easier then this....
BTW since you got it to spawn a CC with a certian team mind letting me see that code and see if it can be adapted to AvA. Cuz currently AvA is CC only =(
