I cannot load the map spr on some custom maps. I only play on the servers because I get excellent ping times but anyhow is there a way to stop it from showing in console the message spam of an error about the spr?

Create your own game with the map(s) you have the problem on.
Turn cheats on (sv_cheats "1") in console.
Type buildminimap in console then let the bar load fully at the bottom of your screen.
