Verify that you have Info_Player_Start entities in your readyroom and Info_Team_Start entities in your map. The Team_Start entities should have Team 1 (marines) and Team 2 (aliens) selected for the respective teams.

well everything seems to be right. On another map i tested to make i was able to join aliens but not marines.
Ok here's a possible problem: Since I havent finished the map yet, I dont have a hive. Does it only work if I have all three hives and their spawnpoints?

Yes, you must have all 32 info_player_starts, all 16 marine info_team_starts, all 48 alien info_team_starts, 3 team_hives, 1 team_command, 1 info_mapinfo and 1 info_gameplay.
