Here's the problem, i get really bad (<4) Fps when i start up NS. It doesn't do this in any other mod, CS,DOD, TFC, etc. I also don't have this problem in any other games or applications. I want to make this clear, this is in the menu when you first start up the game, not in the game itself. The sound also lage quite a bit too.

AMD Athlon 3200+ Barton
512Mb PC3200
ATI Radeon 9700Pro
Santa Cruz
i'm running in 1280x960 with Vsync off and 8xAF/2xAA, but it doesn't matter what settings i use.
Anyone have any ideas? i just updated all of my drivers, and even flashed my BIOS, but still no change.
it worked before, the only thing that has changed is the addition of the sound card, and a new video card (previous was a gf4mx440)
