do you have andersen's model? you could probably just work off of his and add everything that didn't get finished...
unless you have a personal take on it.

Very nice so far. I think you should make the ridge on the front part a little deeper and wider, then add a curve above and below it.

that is an awesome skin on that second model... are you doing a skin of similar coloration for your personal model? I love the other one... it has an aesome gdi vs nod feel

suggestion- how about a rail mount going from the main body to the barrel, or a big famas style carrying handle? it will give the top of the model more character

The anims basically need tweaking, the reload and long idle are very rough. I'm leaving NS to move on to UT2k4, thinking about transferring the concept of my ODG T2 mod to that engine... HL is just getting too outdated... Andersen and Bots gave me permission to use the model and skin there if I do, so it may appear in another game yet... In the mean time, I don't think either would mind if someone finished off the NS version, as long as due credit is given properly- just PM me and I'll send the .smd's.
On the flip side, there is no reason Phyco can't release his own interpretation of the spike- after all, Andersen got the concept pic from the Polycount forums. Some people might like Phyco's version better, and it certainly wouldn't be the first weapon model released in multiple versions, so I think the proper thing to do now is to return this thread to just discussing Phyco's model...

Wow. IMO it could use a little more detail (bolts, etc.) but if that would take too long or add to many polies, don't bother.

i re-smoothe every thing i get... some people doa nice job, and some people dont... but 3ds-max's default is good enough for the renders.
