Well, I am kind of interested in this type work for ns. I have never done any of this before and wish to know how to start a concept and finish into a working skin/model, ect. I do have a welder concept which I apperntly don't have a picture since it was from pure amagination and a little skill. I will make a picture, but its going to be cruddy since im not an artist, but hell its better than nothing right? Anyway it would be nice to enter this new colaberation of moding/skinning and see for myself how hard and how much work is put into it. So its better to look and thank the people for their hard work for creating such great mods/skins/weps. Along sides of the welder concept I can give you a general idea, sort of.

Concept Name:(Spider Style) Welder
Replaces:Welder
Picture?:N/A( Not at the moment, but i could in a couple of days, if im lucky! )
Concept Description: Think about the same model as the NS welder (now) and amagin the front opening really wide like a mouth and all these little pickets/spider legs pop out and start poking the object/structure/marine, and its starts to weld as each picket touches its target. The spider like legs have rapid movement, yet it varies with the power upgrades you get so you can see a difference. I amagin it too be black in stead of green and in the mist of the legs/pickets will be like little red eyes, kind of like the sentinels in the "matrix" and have a lazer too it. I think this is as good of a description as I can give you guys. Unfortunately, this will do for now and I will make a drawing too the best of my ability for you to clearly understand. This is just for you guys to get an idea.

Note: I'm only 13 guys, yes im 13! I also have to go to school, so im busy like the rest of you guys out there, so if you get interested in me. I won't be there by your hand and foot. LOL Anyway I will be your apprentice and I'll learn what I can from you guys and see what I can do. Poochi marine.gif (Noob Entering The Moding NS World)

your best bet is to go over some tutorials and practice what they do. also i dont think you can change the speed of the feeler arm things with each upgrade.
Poochi
well maybe an animator could do that?

Good luck, Poochi. Modelling is tough - but don't give up!

Oh and John Doe - they put a working (Unofficial) Bayonet into NS, why can't they increase the speed of the Animation, or play a new one when a script or something detects an upgrade change...? biggrin.gif
Poochi
