How do i use babblers?

They haven't been in Natural Selection since 1.04 - therefore, you cannot.
As gorge, you can spit (slot 1), heal (slot 2) - this also hurts marines, bile bomb (slot 3 - for building damage only), and web (slot 4)

For slot 3 you need a second hive, for slot 4 a third hive.

They're taken out, the manual is outdated.

I've been looking for ages for the link to the new unfinished manual. Where did I put it...

Grrr. I will edit this when I find it, but someone will have likely put me out of my misery since then.

Even though babblers were killed(They took too much CPU power I think)

This is how they worked:

When your 4th weapon(the one you get from the third hive) is selected and fired, a bot-skulk is created just in front of the gorge. Thse can be spammed with great speed if you have adrenaline.

This bot works like a skulk, and when the timer runs out it explodes in a mini xenocide. These bots where really stupid, as well as incredibly useless. People still liked them though...

Oh how I miss adren-spamming Babblers into the old Eclipse MS.

Poor coding? maybe
Lame AI? sure
Fun? most definately.

ahhh the good 'ole babbler gorge rush days....

and when coupled with webs, gorges could become a 3rd hive force to be reckoned with.. just web and then babble. Plus the gave the marines something to shoot at whilst the gorge ran away.

I thought I had finally gotten my time machine to work when I saw the title..

I used to knife babblers... man that was fun...

Babblers were mad fun.

Screw saving for the 3rd hive onos, I remember on almost all games, as soon as the third hive was finished, everyone would shout gorge rush! and we'd all go gorge, and babbler the whole marine team to death.

Memories...

I really really really wish I had the 1.04 install ><. I lost it in a harddrive crash a while ago and you can't redownload it anywhere.... or anywhere I know of.
