To begin, I have a Layout for you!

<edit> Layout Edited. Left and Right Hives moved, hallways deleted and created, Vents made. <edit>
1. Lower west hallway is weldable. Both sides. 45 sec welds a piece. If the marines want a fast way in, they gotta pay for it. Plus, it's all flooded IE no building sieges to waste the hive in that corridor 3 min into the game.
2. <edit> Resource Node fixed </edit>
3. Besides that, it's all layout from here. Readyroom to be designed and shown here soon.
Comments and CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism Needed!!!!

The center hive seems closer to the left than the right hive; this could create unbalance (easier to hold the two left hives at once, easier to cut ailens off if they start in the right hive, etc). Also, the proximity of the center hive to the left hive puts the left hive at a disadvantage res-wise, as it only has one non-hive expansion res nearby (as opposed to two for the other two hives). If the aliens start in the left hive, the rines will go right for the center hive, and it will then be very easy to cut the aliens off and starve them.
I'd recommend moving the center hive into the room east of it with the res (north of double), and then shifting that room up a bit so it isn't too close to double/marine start. Then the left hive would have two non-hive expansion nodes (in the northwest corner) before they would have to hold another hive room.

Nice layout! I'm a vent-hugger, so I've marked where I think a few vents (6 total) could go:

I agree -.- I've taken out a few corridors (In progress) and added a few. I'm still trying to get a Layout V. 2 then I'll put it up here. And for the vents, so far so good, I'll add a few more and maybe connect some of those together too.
<edit> Also, center hive will be moved, well to the center, and left hive moved up a bit and a bit more to the left. After looking at it, I've realized that the left hive can be cut off by holding 1 door...Not a good idea. </edit>

No...11 is fine. An official NS map (Which I hope to make this one) can be from 8-12....

You may find it easier to make your layout with lines for hallways and just literally connect the rooms. Its much easier to think about the flow of players around the map.

I like hallways...The best fights and chokepoints come in hallways. I admit some will be shortened / killed, but oh well.

I know saving is my friend, but I was on a roll...I kept going, and going, and going. I was going to finish the RR and had no way to save because i was going to fast and uber. Then I lost power. Ergh...

Hmm sorry to hear that m8... Please use CTRL+S next-time? I know one can sometimes forget it when on a roll, but it's so darn important...
Oh well 3 hours wasted is not as bad as losing the source (backups are even more important), when you've recreated the lost parts where going to see screenshots I hope

Backups of your source are important. Yeah, I'd hate to have to make an ns_deseren remake team even before the map is finished....
