EDIT - I have NS under the Steam menu -

...But there are no servers

Here are my system specs and whatnot (requested by poster below me)

-HP Pavilion 750n - 1.6ghz - Windows XP
-NVidia TNT2 32MB SDRAM, Integrated sound (unknown, but I'm not sure that would have a bearing on servers showing up -_-)
-OpenGL @ 1024x700~
-Not running EAX
-Half-Life Game of the Year edition
-Steam on NS v3.0 Beta 3

As for the problem, I had -just- gotten NS to register through steam. I booted it up, and there were no servers - except for three empty ones. This was at about 8:30~ CST, so I'm sure there were far more servers. If any help or feedback could be mustered, I'd much appreciate it. Thanks.

First off, read this. Then edit your post and I'll see what I can do.

However sad it may be to bump your own topics, I really want to play NS sad.gif

OK, try this. Uninstall NS & Steam. The whole setup. Then:
1) Re-install steam & Half-life.
2) Then boot of half life and play through the training level.
3) Try installing NS 3.0 beta 1, then update to beta 3.

No dice. Displays the same three empty servers again ; confused.gif

Check if you have any filters selected. Where are you playing from? South America, for example has about 6 servers. Try selecting your region in the filter list, instead of world. And click refresh, not quick refresh (this one's a bit obvious).

sounds dumb but make sure ur not on the favourites tab

done it many times waiting for servers to refresh, and realising im on my favs tab and got no servers in there.
Deathscythe1
I fiddled with the region selection, nothing going on there. And I'm not in the favorites tab.

I assume you can play other Steam games, cs, tfc, etc?

Any spam software running, I had problems with Secret Maker?

Tried deleting clientregistry.blob in Steam Folder?

Performed ping trace thu cmd to any servers?

Running XP?

Modem, DSL, Cable?

I'm also having this problem. I just put Steam/NS on a new computer and when trying to get a list of servers for NS, I either get none or very few. The only change I can think of that would affect the server list is a bug I had seen before in America's Army. Gamespy server browser was disconnecting certain routers when you tried to get a list of servers, and unfortunately, my router is one of those types. When I put NS on this new computer, I also hooked up my router. Previously, the other computer was connected straight to modem.

I doubt this is the problem, however, since I'm staying connected to the internet. Any ideas, please?

System Stats:

P4 2.8 GHz
Not sure of the sound card
GeForce FX Go5200, 64 MB
Windows XP Home
OpenGL 1024x768 Widescreen
Not sure about EAX
Using Steam
NS Beta 3.3

Retail client: None :-D I downloaded Steam and it let me install Half-Life without needing the CD. Probably because keys are stored in Steam accounts now.

If possible have you tried connecting the puter directly, by-passing router?
Deathscythe1
Nothing, and I'm running on cable with Win XP. Tried deleting the .blob file, doesn't change a thing. No spam software, and just what is cmd?

By the way, I have no router to speak of - I'm running directly from the modem to the PC.

i think its the internet thats having prob. cause me and some friends have the same prob. its like even if u conect to a server when some actualy apears on the list. u get disconnected by conection problem. i think its the net thats having prob these few days. one of my friends steam just got fixed with this prob withough doing anything. =/
JNighthawk
Well, perhaps its just a coincidence, but when I took my comp off the router and went direct to modem, the entire list appeared. *sigh* I doubt its a coincidence though. Damn game developers and their hate of D-Link routers!
