Ok we are going to make a High Poly Pack for NS.
We will be doing everything over.
That include Players, Aliens, Weapons, Buildings, and Sprites for the things we have done.
We will attempt to do anything that can be redone and made better.
We are looking for perfection (or close to it)
If you wish to be part of the action and feel the urge to join make a post saying that you would liek to jion and what you would be doing (skining modeling ....)
DONT SPAM OR PUT ANYTHING ELSE THAT ISNT ASKED FOR

I remember another High poly thread that had atleast had model renders rather then someone begging for people to sign up to an already dead project.

Blast, thought it meant hi poly default buildings. Cause those still reign supreme over most replacements(discluding Spec Ops).

Im great for testing, because im online 24/7 and only get off ns and cs for pee, eat, and wemon. THATS IT! So when and if this is completed my computer and I are waiting, new computer!

i will help on a handfull of conditions.
1. you want me to make something? tell me EXACTLY what you want. none of that 'well sorta like this, only different' crap.
2. you want me to skinmesh something? look elsewhere. i'm still nubish at it.
3. you want concepts, i'll help when i'm having a good day. lately, my creative juices have been dry.
keep in mind that i haven't done much skinning in a while, so i'm a bit spotty. i specialize in high detail skins, however. i can take a 256 x 256 map and make you swear it was 512 x 512....almost...(like i said, i'm still a bit out of it). as far as compiling and such, i've got that aced. modeling, eh so so.
in all honesty, i'm really not looking forward to being part of a 'team' with a task and all that. i'd rather do things on my own accord and such. especially with college nippin me in the ****.
regardless, know that i will help where applicable.

i say we work like this everyone is given a section like they did in the mapping forum on a map remake
for example like you get assigned something if you can do it great if you cant say youd like something else and that section will be assigned to someone else
if we get enough people we can break up the team into smaller teams like 3 guys get assigned to redoing the LMG one models it one skinmeshes is or skins it and another animates and whoever can compiles

I've already got my high poly marine structure pack going. No need to redo those guys.
Feel free to redo everything else though. In the end, i may let you include my models in your pack as well.

will this project keep the same style of current ns models. I like high poly models, but I dont like to change the overall feel of the game. I loved brigadiers models cause of that.

cuz we might and most likely will call the group together for a hl2 ns pack
also this is the message i wanted to say
i myself and someone else might redo map textures if need be
it might not happen (im going to be looking at them to see if it is necessary)
since all we need is photoshop it woudl eb easy
also i was hoping that we make 2 versions of the model 1 for the ns 3 and a higher better looking one for ns for hl2 in which we could submit that pack for it to become the default models

well buy the pics it looks like there redoing the whole textures, so contact them and look at the pics at there fourms, I cant show links cause my moms dell cant get into the fourms, dont know why

you wont need an animator, just use the original ns anims, as your only looking for high poly
also chrono is all the reassurance you need to get the job done fast.

Er... do you know anything about how 'polys' work?
A polygon is on a model (or, in more advanced terms, a mesh). Textures (which are flat) don't have polys... well at least they
shouldn't.... if they do, then that's a **** up texture.

If they were just redoing the textures it wouldn't be a "high-poly" model pack...
As far as redoing maps, it wouldn't work. A map has to have the same info, same everything, as the server. Unless the server was also running the redone map, you won't be able to connect.

Ya know, the last thing this project needs are people who DON'T know how to do stuff or people who think they are "in charge" and don't NEED to do anything cuz they are...
This is how a project fails in the first place, like so many HL mods.
"Hi, i just started a mod. I got a cool idea. I dunno how to make ****, but im good with PR and making websites.. plz i need a ton of coders, mappers and animaters to do all the work for me. I'm 12 years old and im gonna forgot my project next week."
