well i replaced the 3.0 sprite file with another one, but its really small. and the FPS when it explodes seems slower so the explosion looks way outta place. is there any way i could somehow make it bigger and make the FPS speed faster using a program?

there is no frame rate, its controled by the engine

I do believe that you can edit the sprites to add more frames in, but you have to make them manually.

I believe that was settled already
Although I'm not sure if you can add extra frames to a sprite that wasn't intended to be animated in the first place.

you CAN add more sprite frames, but the engine wont play the extra ones (ex: animated crosshairs will only get played by the first frame unless the game engine says diffrent)
